Guttering is the collecting channel at the lowest point of a roof for rainwater. Usually cast iron on older properties or plastic on newer.
Profiles we work with
Half-round (semi-circular section, brackets fixed to the fascia) and ogee (moulded pattern with a flat back, lengths secured to the fascia by fixing screws) are the two traditional profiles. We also work with modern UPVC squareline and deepflow.
What can go wrong
Damaged, sagging or missing parts. Improperly installed downpipes. Leaves, branches and gunk clogging the system - especially where the downspout connects into the gutter. Once a gutter is clogged, water runs over the sides and down the wall instead of into the downpipe.

What we do
Clear and flush the system, re-fit any loose sections, replace damaged lengths, install gutter guards to keep leaves out, replace full gutter and downpipe systems where the cast iron has rusted through. Cast iron can be replaced like-for-like or upgraded to UPVC.
